This textile work presents a sophisticated meditation on cosmic themes through the intimate language of fabric and time. Measuring 92 x 83 centimeters, the piece is constructed as a wall hanging in warm, neutral tones that immediately evoke a sense of aged parchment or ancient textiles.

The composition centers on a powerful circular motif - a golden sun or celestial body that anchors the entire work. This central orb is surrounded by concentric circles of stitching, creating ripples of contemplative energy that radiate outward like meditation rings or the visual representation of sound waves moving through space. Small yellow flowers are delicately positioned around this central circle, suggesting the orbiting of planets or the cyclical nature of seasons and time.

Four antique stars are strategically placed at the cardinal points, reinforcing the cosmic theme while grounding the work in both literal and metaphorical directions. The artist's use of antique materials - the weathered stars, vintage ribbons, and dried flowers - creates a dialogue between past and present, embodying the concept of time as both linear progression and eternal return.

The outer borders feature intricate floral motifs that frame the celestial center, creating a garden-like boundary that speaks to the earthly realm gazing upward toward the divine. Decorative rosettes at each corner add structural weight and suggest the four seasons or elements, while delicate embroidered details throughout demonstrate the meditative quality of hand-stitching itself.

The work's power lies in its integration of the cosmic and the domestic, the eternal and the temporal. Through the slow, contemplative process of textile work, the artist has created a mandala-like object that invites extended viewing and inner reflection, embodying their belief that profound truths emerge through patient, introspective practice.
